It feels weird starting a software company when everyone around you says software is dead. And look around you - just this week people are reverse engineering tools we all grew up with, every company and technology out there has an AI story, the SaaSpocalypse is coming for us all. And yet.
We started Swamp with two simple ideas.
First, let’s embrace this change and maximize the use of AI across our business. From our pitch deck, our business model, forecasting, all the way to engineering. Everything. We set out to put ourselves in the seat of every job function and feel the impact from first principles.
It’s working. Swamp is in use in every aspect of our business from finance to customer success, and everything in between. The team is lean and shipping. If you find a bug or submit a feature request for Swamp, the stats say it will be looked at in about 3 hours and solved an hour later. Working software, in your hands.
Second, let’s build software for you so that you love it. It sounds trite. Of course you want to build software that people love. I mean something deeper than that. Swamp is built for you, specifically. The person reading this post. The one who shows up. Who has something to build. With a network of peers sharing what works, and what doesn’t. Because after all, the first rule of Swamp Club is to tell all of your friends about Swamp Club.

Today, we’re officially launching the company. Swamp Club has raised a $7M seed round to empower builders wherever they sit in the business and keep shipping software built for you. The round is led by Amplify Partners, with participation from Encoded Ventures and some awesome angel investors.
In the press release you’ll find we’re well on our journey: we have thousands of users who have built with Swamp over 340 million times. In addition, we have an ecosystem of extensions that reach into the systems you work with, a community that communicates by writing, and a whole slew of customers who are solving real business problems.
Let’s get building.
